What is ITAR Compliance Software?
ITAR compliance software is the set of platforms used by defense and aerospace organizations to enforce access control over technical data covered by the International Traffic in Arms Regulations.
Definition
ITAR compliance software is not a single product. It refers to the combination of ERP, PLM, identity, file storage and collaboration platforms whose access controls enforce ITAR's jurisdiction and nationality-based data access rules.
Common architecture
Compliant architectures generally combine an ITAR-aware PLM (Teamcenter, 3DEXPERIENCE, Aras), an ERP capable of project-based access segregation (SAP, Oracle, IFS), an identity layer enforcing nationality-based access, and a controlled cloud collaboration environment (commonly GCC High).
